A rugged northwoods version of the Norwegian style kicksled is a great sled for beginners with a 1-2 dog team. This Canadian version gives you the look of a basket sled with its solid maple construction and laced seat back and has the convenience of a sled which you can fold up and easily take anywhere. It can also be used without dogs in the traditional Nordic style of kicksledding. For a pleasure ride or for hauling your ice fishing gear, these sleds are functional as well as fun. The bed is made of five 16" slats providing a comfortable seat for a small passenger. The runners are 2" wide and have a narrow Teflon® guide on the base. A 2" UHMW runner base could be added to reduce drag (see below). Sled includes a bridle and single claw brake. Enjoy winter with this affordable, folding sled. (32" H x 18" W x 55" L)

These high test cold forged aluminum carabiners are perfect for attaching your gangline to the sled bridle. They are strong, lightweight, functional and never rust or freeze up. Your gangline can be quickly snapped into place or easily removed from the sled at the end of a run. Standard carabiners are 1.8 ounces and locking carabiners are 2.0 ounces.
