An exciting sport for those who love the thrill of cross-country skiing but want to include their dogs in the fun. Our skijoring equipment allows your dog to pull you on cross-country skis. Skijoring towlines can also be used for bike training and conditioning. You will need to purchase a towline and either a towbar, hipbelt, or seatbelt.

Towline
This is the line that attaches to the dog. It is made of polyethylene rope with a loop on one end for attaching to the towbar or hipbelt and an Italian bronze snap at the other end for attaching to your dog's harness. A built-in shock absorber gives you a smoother start and reduces jarring on you and your dog.

Hardwood handle attached to 1-inch heavy-duty nylon webbing with 1¼inch stainless steel ring for attachment of towline.

Standard Hipbelt SG84 $25.00
Hipbelt The hipbelt allows you to have your hands free for poling. The 4" wide adjustable padded belt wraps around your back providing uniform pull from the sides and is secured with a snap release buckle. A quick release mechanism is included for attaching a towline.

Deluxe Seatbelt    SG93  $45.00
The belt is designed to pull lower on the hip to take the strain off of the back and improve the balance of the skier. In addition to the adjustable strap that fastens the belt at the hip level, there are two additional adjustable straps which cross between the legs to prevent the belt from riding up. It is padded with ¼" thick supple neoprene foam and covered with nylon. Across your lower back the belt is 9" deep on large seatbelts and 7" deep on the small seatbelts and is designed to cradle your seat, providing comfort and excellent support across your back and seat. Quick release mechanism included.

Quick Release HE03 $4.50
This handy piece of hardware comes with all hipbelts and seatbelts. It is positioned between your belt and skijoring line. If you need to release yourself from your dog(s), just push forward against your own weight. The quick release will remain attached to the skijoring line.

Snap Shackle Release HE35 $27.50
This lightweight method of attaching your skijoring lines to your belt meets the new IFSS regulations requiring the hardware remain with your belt upon release and not follow the lines attached to your dog(s). These sturdy snap shackles are made of stainless steel, with a polyethylene rope grip to release the spring loaded pin and a quick link to attach to your hipbelt or seatbelt. The snap shackle can be added to a belt you already own. We can also substitute the snap shackle release on the above belts for an additional $26.50 (HE35S).
